"Days of Live Archaeology in Kernavė". Organised since 1999, it is a continuous educational event presenting the historical-cultural heritage of the country and neighbouring regions. The annual festival is a journey through time, attracting around 20,000 visitors from all regions of Lithuania and abroad. The event is attractive for visitors of all ages, and is particularly appealing to families and enthusiasts of Baltic culture. The festival promotes interest in the history of the region, actualizes the links between the present and past generations, nurtures patriotism, encourages interest in the sciences of history and archaeology, and promotes a sustainable way of life. The long-standing patron of the Festival is the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania.
The XXIV International Festival of Experimental Archaeology "Days of Live Archaeology in Kernavė" is set to return on 5-7 July 2024!
